Great job everyone!
Now here's some eye candy for Mike.

Seriously, F- that fight.
That is all.
Anyway, great job on the kill everyone.
First two bosses in Throne of Thunder down in the first week of raiding. That's not including the Bridge Boss either. Let's keep it up.

Another great job done by our raid team slaughtering the giant bug Garalon. 3/6 in HoF and Windlord should die in the next lockout! Keep up the good work!
Congrats on the kills of Gara'Jal the Spiritbinder and the Spirit Kings! We definitely fought hard and worked together to defeat the encounter and I'm pretty sure everyone (especially the healers) breathed a huge sigh of relief when he dropped. The Spirit Kings was a fun fight with a lot going on - way to knock it out after only a couple of attempts. Elegon is next!
We killed The Stone Guard in Mogu'shan Vaults exactly two weeks after Mists launched. This was our first venture in to Mogu'shan as a guild this expansion and we got a kill on our first night. Congratulations to everyone that was there!!!!! (including our PuG healer - Tapestree). We tried for the Must Love dogs achievement but our floor tank...er...I mean Rogue forgot to summon his pet so we will work on it next time. (We all know who you are Smoké, so I won't tell anyone)

Congratulations team on the Heroic Madness kill! This marks the first time that Paranormal Society has completed a hard mode tier while it was current content. Keep up the good work!!!!!!
Congratulations team on finally getting Heroic Spine down...now we are just left with Madness!!!!! Good Luck everyone!
Congratulations team on getting Hard Mode Yor'sahj down followed by Heroic Ultraxion. NICE JOB!!!! Now onto Heroic Hagara!
Paranormal Society is a 10 man progression raiding guild on the Stormrage server. We are a level 25 guild and have been together for over a two and a half years.
Our focus as a guild is balancing progression raiding while maintaining a life outside of WOW. Recruiting the right players is what defines the overall success of a guild. Recruitment is not simply finding bodies that can fill spots in raids, but rather new friends that will fit into the culture of our guild. We only accept mature, adult players, into our family.
We are a progression focused guild and do take a fun, but serious approach to raiding. We are currently 8/8 normal, 1/8 Heroic in DS. Our raid schedule is Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 9:30-12:00 Eastern time. We expect every raider to be fully prepared for each raid, including being properly enchanted and gemmed, as well as having the appropriate consumables.
Current Needs:
Melee DPS - High (Prefer Warrior, Rogue, or Kitty)
Ranged DPS - High (Prefer Mage or Warlock)
Tank - Medium (Any class)
Also need a DPS with a solid healing off spec.
We are looking for technical players that fit into the culture of our guild as well as having the performance level required to progress into hard mode content.
If you are a skilled player that is interested in being a long term part of our family, and you feel you would fit into the culture of our guild, then we welcome you to apply at ps.wowstead.com.
Also, if you are a casual adult player that is looking for a place to call home we have room for you as well :)
If you have any questions feel free to contact Huntingwolf, Rustiqumblea, or Toknish in game.
An elite group of Paranormal Society agents led a secret raid against Ragnaros in hopes of using ambush tactics to down him. It worked! Unfortunately I don't have a kill shot because I wasn't there - clearly not elite enough.
I heard a number of tactics were attempted including opening a portal to Vash'jr to flood Firelands with ocean water. Tacticians agreed that the risk of Firelands boiling Vash'jr and demolishing the zone was a worthwhile (if not beneficial) risk.
Another tactic involved Jason (he's good with wimmins) luring Therazine the Stonemother from Deepholme and dropping her on Ragnaros. Unfortunately she grew too excited and once the pursuit began she cheated by throwing up some earth walls, caught him and... it wasn't pretty. She seemed happier than I've ever seen her before. Zone wide chat indicated Jason was the only mortal welcome to return anytime she wanted him to.
Some other hastily dismissed tactics involved Skips chasing his/her own tail in circles as a distraction (it sort of distracted the whole raid really) and there was something to do with Matt Damon, but I didn't catch all of it.
Gratz to all those who were present!
What took you so long?
Well, you see we didn't mass recruit for copious amounts of Guild XP so every shred of XP has been earned by our few guild members and their alts. This is a pretty significant achievement by a really small group.
Good job everyone new and old!
Admittedly, this was a pretty easy fight once everyone saw how it worked and we organized for the one minor thing you need to organize for. If you're not sure what that is, well, it's the flame breath at 10%.
I always wondered if guilds feed misinformation to the masses and know I know!
No, there is nothing specially to worry about short of the fire-balls-on-a-stick and the living bomb stuff every second phase. Really it's just a lot of in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out.
Kinda reminds me of something else...
Good job everyone, you can do the hokey-pokey! What did you think I meant?\
For the record, it was a one shot of Alysrazor as clean up from last week, two shot of Staghelm (we had a miscommunication with the living bombs - some stupid huntard called a boomkin back in and the boomkin actually went boom) and several attempts on Ragnaros which were making progress.
I think it's safe to say that we have Shannox, Beth'tilac, Lord Ryolith and Baleroc on farm as we cleared them in under two hours with a pair of (good) PUGs despite the fact that Timbits (Holy Paladin Extraordinaire) swapped to Shiftybits (Restoration Druid of Noobsauce). Oh we also hopped over to kill Occu'thar, so five bosses with Valor Point and loot hand outs.
We had some delays starting up as we were waiting on our Raid Leader and had a PUG bail thinking we'd not kill anything because of the Restoration Druid of Noobsauce. I hear there was an interesting exchange over tells.
To said Holy Paladin that bailed on us, we rolled through the bosses and they all dropped Holy Pally gear which we had to Disenchant* because we didn't have a Holy Paladin present.
If we had more time we would have beat up Alysrazor and worked over Staghelm. Needless to say we'll have Ragnaros shortly.
Pretty good for a small guild that only raids for five hours a week.
*Not true, but still... it was a walk in the park and you missed out on it because of your poor attitude.
No, it's not about sharing one of Jason's harem vs. self gratification. See, I can say stuff like that because no one ever reads these things.
It's about seeing the value in what you have vs. what might be. It originates from the days of falconry where having a falcon is worth more than only having the resulting prey. With the falcon you get more prey.
I lost you didn't I?
I'm saying I love you guys! /huggles
Well, this group went and downed Alysrazor and tickled Staghelm a little. It was quite a sound thrashing after having lost one of the healers in the first cyclone phase (or was it the second?).

Good job team!
I'm all for a nice beverage, nothing like a little wobbly pop when the sun is beating down mercilessly on you... but NEVER drive drunk. Ever.
There is a difference when you get what you're driving drunk. That's the secret strat to steering Ryolith Get him drunk. He'll stagger around and fall over eventually. This is the top secret strat an old friend gave us, I apologize for letting the Feral Durid out of the bag - we can put it back in and beat the bag with some sticks again if you want?
Either way, this guy can't hold his booze...

Special thanks to the two PUGs; Chinoea and Lightess.
Our second real venture (we won't count that first exploratory one) into Firelands and down goes Shannox.
It was a team effort with several people being involve with adjustments to the existing strategies to suit our group of special people. We finally found one and executed. Down he went so we spent the remaining time poking around with the trash that those rep farming runs don't tend to go near. (No, not the turtles *cringe*)
Just as we were finishing we saw Alliance had won Tol Barad so we popped in to try the new(ish) raid boss there. I'd say it was close but I'd be lying.... it was ridiculously close. We executed up until the last eye phase then I think people thought they could push the boss over so they didn't bother with the eyes. Let's just say we were down to an Elemental Shaman (Carleys), his Earth Elemental (Stoner) and our Healadin (Timbits).
Yeah it was that close.
Squished bug - dead Beth'tilac. Get out the bug wash and hope it isn't flammable.
They say the third time is the charm, well, for us the last time in the evening is the charm. Good job folks!
While this was a little more entertaining fight that previous spider raid bosses, it was still a spider. Can we get some snakes? Big ones? That'd be cool.
Back to vacation - neener neener!
Yes.
It happened.
With little time to spare.
Imagine a picture of 10 dudes floating in the air around a crystal... oh wait, the crystal disappeared. You imaging it? Cool. That means I don't have to get a picture up here just yet.
EDIT: Okay, I dug one up. You can't see the boss and it was difficult to set up a good picture with no ground to work with. We'll try to get a guild shot on firm ground at some point.
